Product Design Intern

Radius’ mission is to help people build stronger relationships with others in their everyday lives. Through our location-based social media app, we give our users the ability to connect with people that are actually around them; whether they’re travelling alone in a new area, at a party, or trying to meet people at work. Our goal is to help grow everyone’s social network as much as we can. 🥳

As a UCLA-based startup, we’re building a close-knit team of talented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and want their work to have a large impact on the product. They enjoy building strong personal relationships and are passionate about helping others grow.

We’re looking for creative product design interns that are passionate about creating the very best product for our users. This position has flexible hours and would preferably require presence at UCLA, however remote work can be discussed.

Responsibilities

  • Create solutions to design challenges by translating research insights into beautiful and engaging user interfaces which satisfy user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints
  • Be highly involved in the design process from user research to ideation, wireframing, and hi-fi mockup creation
  • Design web and mobile UI/UX flows using software like Sketch or Figma
  • Work closely with engineers and product managers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Student currently enrolled at UCLA
  • Experience with UI/UX and graphic design
  • Experience with hi-fi mockup software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with front-end programming is a plus
  • Involvement in campus organizations such as student clubs and/or Greek life is a plus
